When I think of Christmas I think of baking with family. Gingerbread cut out cookies, frosting them together together as we sing our favourite songs playing through the air. Christmas is celebrating together with loved ones, sharing our highlights of laughter, tears, ups and downs, milestones in the year past. I may not have a tree this year, but I really hope to be able to spend time with those dear to me.
Candy canes remind me of Santa Claus’ hat, minty cool breath on a chilly winter morning, sipping a hot chocolate. Biting into a chewy spicy gingerbread person fills me with happy. Sugary cinnamon fills the air like fairy dust on bakes reminds me of baking with Mom.
